Description The Puffin compact scopes are intended for users looking for a pair of light, robust binoculars. Weighing 368 grams, they have enough ‘body’ to dampen hand vibrations, a drawback with compact binoculars. The Puffins are equipped with Schmidt-Pechan roof prisms. For optimum image sharpness, they have phase correcting coatings. The prisms have a 60-layer coating SHR (Super High Reflectivity) coating and, the lenses have multi coatings. The manufacturers have done everything possible to give these compact binoculars optimum sharpness. The binoculars are also waterproof and filled with dry nitrogen gas against internal fogging. This makes the binoculars multi-purpose. Wind, rain, storms, an unexpected fall in a puddle, the Puffin is not affected. The slim Puffins sit comfortably in the hand and are covered with a pleasant-touch green hard rubber coating.
